This is not a required thing, but it would be nice if a few of you did it, so Nedda can have a variety of bookmark options to share with attendees.
Here is a message from Nedda in the library:
I'd still like to recruit some of the graphic design students to help me w/ these bookmarks for the Losing Yourself show, which opens in the GSU Gallery on October 1.
Here is info on the exhibition:
http://www.losingyourself.com/?page_id=2
Designs need to be:
-in electronic format (.JPG is preferred)
-able to be resized to fit onto a bookmark (I'll send you an exact size soon) [start off with 2.5 x 8.5" and I will tell you specifics when I find out]
-visually appealing when printed grayscale, on colored paper/card stock
-somewhat related to the themes of the exhibition
I'd like to use several designs, so that visitors to the gallery all get a different bookmark. So, this isn't like a contest or anything--the more the merrier! Each bookmark will feature a different design (from a student) on the front & a different book suggestion (from me) on the back.
So- if you are interested in this, please let me know! I'd like to see what you put together. This is a side project, and certainly not required, but it would certainly be a nice portfolio sample if yours gets used. I can also use it as a little bit of extra credit if that is something you want to discuss.
